Iran North West is a tour designed for nature lovers who also do not want to miss the cultural aspect of Iran. Our journey starts from Tehran, capital of Iran that is changing to a megacity from an ancient city over time. The route will take us to Qazvin, where the Assassins’ Fortress is hidden in Alamout mountains, back to the city there are historical attractions among which Sepah street as the Iran’s first street is outstanding. Dome of Soltaniyeh is our next destination, aside from the historical aspect, the nature surrounding is incredible. Tabriz will be our next stop, a city where Blue mosque is located with its unique blue majolica tiles, Monastery of Saint Thaddeus known as Qara kelisa is our next fascinating stop. A bit far from Tabriz city there is Kandovan cliff  caved village is waiting for us. Moving on to Ardabil, we will go back in history to 16th century and will explore Sufi mysticism stages through the seven segments of Sheikh Safi al-din Khānegāh. The hot springs of Ardabil is showing off the rich nature around. Hyrcanian forests are waiting for us in Gilan, Masuleh village and its picturesque views.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at the Imam Khomeini airport, meeting with local guide, transfer to the hotel, check in, site seeing the capital city turning pages of history visiting Golestan Palace and carpet museum overnight night stay in Tehran.

Day 2

Our tour will start with a beautiful drive in the route to Assassin’s Fortress of Alamout, the valley and its local is worthy of a visit. The journey goes on driving to the old capital of Safavid, Qazvin.

Day3

After breakfast at the hotel, sightseeing around Qazvin will begin with Chehel Sotun Palace, resembles of the palace of the same name in Isfahan. After visits to Grand bazaar and museum we will head to Zanjan, there will be en route visit to Dome of Soltaniyeh from Mongol ruler Il-khan Öljeitü.

Day 4

Travelling from Zanjan to Tabriz, our first contacts with the city will be Azerbaijan Museum and Blue Mosque also known as Islam turquoise, then we get to hotel.

Day 5

Our plan in Tabriz is a real adventure through time, visiting Kandovan Cliff dwelling village that is a unique example of human beings friendship with nature. Tabriz is also city of Great men in Iran’s history, House of Constitution has got history stories to tel. Visiting Tabriz will be completed by going to Tabriz Grand bazaar, the largest interconnected roofed bazaar in the world.

Day 6

On 6th day after breakfast in Tabriz, we will have an excursion to Qara Kelisa ancient Church, Qara Kelisa is the world’s first church and was constructed in 68 CE by one of the apostles of Jesus.

Day 7

We will go to Ardabil to have the chance to visit Sheikh Safi al-din Khānegāh, spiritual retreat in the Sufi tradition, and Shrine Ensemble, Museum of Archaeology and Ardebil Bazaar. By end of the day we will go to Sarein to stay in the hotel.

Day 8

On this day, our visits are to natural attractions. Our first stop will be on mineral Sarein hot springs, then we will drive to beautiful Anzali Lagoon after that we get to hotel to get a good rest for our long journey of the next day.

Day 9

After breakfast we will leave Anzali, on our way to Tehran we pay visits to Rasht Traditional Bazaar, a true sense of the market, Masouleh village will be our next destination and the last stop Gilan Village Legacy museum, a museum of lively houses.
Tehran will be the final destination before saying good bye and transfers are available to hotel or airport according to your plans.
