Ramsar

Javaher Deh Village

Javaher Deh translates to “Jewel Village” and truly lives up to its name. Javaher Deh lies at the top of a beautiful mountain road that pierces the clouds. The heavenly landscape along with the rich history, have made Javaher Deh a popular destination among tourists and travelers.

Ramsar Palace (Marmar Palace)

Ramsar Palace was built under the order of Reza Shah Pahlavi in 1937 and served as the royal family’s summerhouse. The interior of the European-styled palace is decorated with several Persian antiques, artifacts, and works of art. A beautiful garden surrounds the castle that enjoys a variety of plants including some rare exotic ones.

Dalkhani Jungle

A high jungle with an approximate height of 800 meters, located 25 kilometers southeast of Ramsar. One of the distinctive characteristics of Dalkhani Jungle is the thick everlasting mist that crawls through it, adding to its natural beauty. Dalkhani Jungle has been nicknamed “Dalan-e Behesht” which translates to “Corridor of paradise”, a name well suited for this fallen piece of heaven.

Markuh Castle

Markuh Castle is located at the top of the Markuh Mountain, towering over Ramsar. There’s no evidence on the exact origin of the castle though it is known that it had served as a military base during 3rd to 6th Hijri century. The path to the castle consists of a long series of stairs in the midst of a dense forest.

Ramsar Telecabin Cabin Complex

Starting alongside Khazar Beach, the cable cars travel a 2km distance to the green heights of Ramsar. On the beachside, the complex houses a theme park, several restaurants and fast-food joints, a karting venue, a paintball arena, etc. On top of the mountain, there are restaurants, luxurious huts and a hiking trail where you can enjoy the landscape.
